Introduction

In my life I have travelled too many beautiful places. Most of them in my mind are a blur, but one place I have never forgotten. It is my hometown Antipolo City. My hometown is where our roots lie; that is where my ancestors were born. My roots lie in a colossal town called Sumulong Antipolo City. My town is the exact opposite of a quiet town; something is always happening. Most parts of the town are noisy from around 8.00am to 5.00pm, which is the official working hour, and the streets are very busy because of the people coming into the town.

The Antipolo’s famous song is the “Tayo na sa Antipolo” (Let’s Go To Antipolo) is one of the songs I always sing when I was a child. Named after the “Tipolo” trees that are abundant in the area, Antipolo is located in the central part of the Province of Rizal.

My home town Antipolo is a very interesting place and a must see destination because of their delicacies, beliefs, and historical places. And my home town is known for being a pilgrimage city. You can see their Boso-boso Church, Antipolo Cathedral, and the Via Dolorosa/White Cross.
